'SPYder' TRP in Tamil comes in for critique

When its Telugu version was aired on TV, 'SPYder' turned out to be a damp squib. Its TRP was just 6.7, worse than Brahmotsavam's and even Nirmala Convent's.

However, the Mahesh Babu-starrer has done well on Tamil television. It got a TRP of 10.4, which is touted to be the highest for a Telugu hero's movie in the Tamil language. AR Murugadoss, Harris Jayaraj and SJ Suryah are quite familiar to the Tamil audience.

It's said that the fact 'SPYder' was aired on Sun TV is said to have helped the film a lot. Whatever it is, it's disputed that the TRP that the spy thriller has registered is coterminous with the film's popularity in Tamil Nadu.
