'SPYder' set to trump 'Jai Lava Kusa' in big way

So far the story has been about how big 'Jai Lava Kusa' has been. It is claimed to have taken only three days to gross Rs. 75 Cr. The film's Thursday release gave it a huge headstart over the last weekend. Had it been a Friday release, it would have lost out on some margin. The fact that this is a holiday season only made it an easy battle for the NTR-starrer. The brotherly sentiment seems to be drawing the family crowds to a good extent.
'SPYder', on the other hand, has an even greater advantage vis-a-vis NTR's film. It's releasing on Wednesday. It is a two-language film, with each language having their own set of crowd-pullers.
Mahesh Babu is a superstar and his BO stamina needs no introduction. Murugadoss is a star director who has a large fan base in Tamil. Tamilians are surely going to walk into the theatres counting on ARM, Harris Jayaraj, SJ Suryah, Santosh Sivan and other familiar faces such as RJ Balaji and Bharath. Peter Hein is a universal crowd-puller for those who like his action sequences.
To be sure, the spy thriller will be out in Arabic and the Gulf market might just turn out to be a revelation. Should 'SPYder' do too well, it will have set a benchmark for others to follow.
The Overseas market has been way too encouraging this year for Telugu cinema. 'Khaidi No. 150', 'Gautamiputra Satakarni', 'Baahubali-The Conclusion', 'Fidaa', 'Arjun Reddy' and now 'JLK' have displayed the power of Tollywood in the US. 'SPYder', in all likelihood, will be bigger than all these films, save Rajamouli's magnum opus.
The film releases worldwide on Sept 27.
