Jana Sena's Nandyal MP candidate, SPY Reddy, passed away this morning. The former parliamentarian, known for his philanthropic activities, has left a void in the party.

Pawan Kalyan has condoled the death of the senior politician. "I express my deepest condolences to the bereaved family of SPY Reddy garu on behalf of Jana Sena's workers. He always practised decorous politics. An educationist, he was also a successful entrepreneur with a scientific bent of mind. The way he would reach out to the distressed populations in drought-stricken areas is highly commendable. The three-time parliamentarian provided meals for just Rs 2 even before he entered politics," Pawan Kalyan said.

He added that Reddy was hospitalized as the recent elections approached.
