The amount of pornographic content in the web is only increasing day by day. And a type of porn which attracts people is voyeurism. In some places, criminals use spy cams to record unassuming women.
Opposing this, thousands of South Korean women gathered in Seoul yesterday to demand stronger government action. About 18,000 women participated who demanded stronger investigation and punishments for male offenders who photograph women without their knowledge and post it online.
Mostly, these incidents happen in public accessible bathrooms where spy cams are hidden or in subways where men take upskirt videos clandestinely. The women who protested wore red tee shirts with slogan ‘Angry women will change the world’.
Let’s hope even in our country such acts are identified and proper punishment is given to culprits.
