Slowly many celebrities and sportsperson are coming out of the closet and revealing that they are in same-sex relationships with the recent examples being filmmaker Karan Johar and cricketers Alex Blackwell, Elyse Villani and Nicole Bolton. Indian sprinter Dutee Chand who won two silver medals in the Asian Games has declared that she is in a same sex relationship with a nineteen year old relative.

23 year old Dutee Chand has also stated that the couple has been close for the past five years and they plan to spend the rest of their lives together. She has attributed the Supreme Court Order that has legalized consensual sex between same sex partners gave her the courage, to tell the truth. However though her parents have apparently accepted her, her elder sister has been threatening to throw her out of the family and also get her arrested.
