It is known that Praveen Sattaru is about to make a biopic on the Badminton icon Pullela Gopichand. It stars Sudheer Babu, Gopichand's acquaintance. In his interview, Sudheer has said that this is the kind of role for which he needs to do the least homework as he has observed the former player for many years.

The news is that Gopichand has been kept informed about the shape the script is taking. In other words, the iconic former player is being given a say in the way things are shaping up. Perhaps the director of LBW, Chandamama Kathalu and the recent Guntur Talkies fame is looking at an authentic adaptation of Gopichand's life and career.

In a country where sportspeople other than cricketers don't enjoy a superstar status, Sattaru should be appreciated for defying the norms.
