Will Spider-Man be referred in Marvel's upcoming film 'Ant-Man' before he makes his appearance in 'Captain America: Civil War' next year?
An "unconfirmed rumor" is floating around the interweb now speculating that 'Ant-Man' will have references to Spider-Man and Oscorp. Although it isn't clear how Spidey will be referenced, reports do suggest that Oscorp may come up in a scene that has Darren Cross (Corey Stoll/Yellowjacket) trying to sell the Ant-Man/Yellowjacket technology.
As of now, it is said that this scene is also set to have several other dastardly criminal Marvel organizations such as 'The Ten Rings' (previously played a major part in 'Iron Man') and Roxxon ('Agent Carter' and 'Daredevil' TV series). If this rumor indeed turns out to be true, it would make sense that Oscorp has a hand in the Ant-Man/Yellowjacket tech as well.
Check out the film's trailer and the official synopsis below:
"Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world."
Marvel's 'Ant-Man' will be hitting theaters on July 17, 2015.
