Regalia/livery is seen as a badge of honour across the world. Emblems or insignia seen on flights have their own aura. What if we told you an Indian actor has got a dedicated livery for him? He is none other than Sonu Sood, who is now the first Indian actor to have a special livery dedicated to him by Spice Jet, the domestic airline.
Obviously, the livery is in recognition of the multi-lingual actor's humanitarian efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic. He began his journey last year by helping migrants. The livery is in recognition of his selfless help for frontline workers, stranded migrants, underprivileged students and poor patients, etc.
It's learned that Spice Jet decided to honour Sonu Sood for his social work. A source says that a SpiceJet Boeing 737 aircraft was recently wrapped in a special livery which includes an image of the actor.
Fittingly, the livery comes with the words ‘A salute to the saviour Sonu Sood’.
The source adds that, so far, the 'Dookudu' and 'Arundhati' actor has helped more than 2.5 lakh Indians. "As part of this collaboration, more than 1500 Indian students stranded in Kyrgyzstan and hundreds of Indian nationals stuck in Russia, Uzbekistan, Manila and Almaty, among other countries, were repatriated to India," the source adds.
The 'Acharya' actor has described the Spice Jet honour as a really sweet and touching gesture. He also thanked the airline company for its effort of bringing back so many Indians from different parts of the world safely to their homeland during the pandemic.
