Superstar Rajnikanth, who had just delivered a blockbuster in the form of Karthik Subbaraj directorial Petta which released on eve of Pongal festival, will be working next with director AR Murugadoss, who had his last release Sarkar, the Thalapathy Vijay starrer political entertainer released last Diwali.

With the shooting of this movie, Rajnikanth's 166th expected to begin by March and go nonstop for 120 days, and ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan announcing his presence in the movie last week that he's collaborating with Superstar 27 years after the classic blockbuster Thalapathy, fresh speculations are making rounds.

It has been rumoured that AR Murugadoss is planning to rope in Lady Superstar Nayanthara as the female lead, and Anirudh as the music director for this biggie. While an official announcement is yet to be made, it must be noted that Superstar and Nayan were previously seen together in Chandramukhi, Sivaji and Kuselan, and Anirudh who had just scored music for Petta, had worked with Murugadoss in Kaththi.
