Prabhas' 'Salaar' is directed by Prashanth Neel. Its producer Vijay Kiragandur of 'KF' and 'Kantara' fame recently described it as an out-and-out action film co-starring Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Interestingly, there is this new rumour in the town that 'Salaar' will expand its linguistic horizons to unprecedented levels. Hombale Films rumouredly wants to release 'Salaar' in English, which will mean that the big-ticket actioner is going to hit the screens in the maximum number of countries. If that happens, it will redefine Indian cinema's reach.

In order to make the English-language version more saleable, the makers are planning to omit songs and also do away with some scenes that are typical of Indian sensibilities. Since Neel's movies don't have comedy scenes, there is no question of facing any challenges in terms of editing.

Also featuring Mohan Guruswamy in a key role, 'Salaar' has Jagapathi Babu and Shruti Haasan in key roles. The film's music is by Ravi Basrur of 'KGF' fame. Bhuvan Gowda is its cinematographer.

'Salaar' will hit the screens on September 28.
