Director Venkat Prabhu has been known for his hits like Chennai 600028, Saroja, Chennai 600028 IInd innings with his gang of boys, besides also directing top heroes like Thala Ajith in Mankatha, Suriya in Massu Engira Maasilamani and Karthi in Briyani.

The director had last directed the second part of Chennai 600028 and has already wrapped the multistarrer Party which is expected to release soon. The director is next in plans to begin a web series starring Kajal Aggarwal and also has plans to start his political entertainer Maanaadu soon.

On eve of Teachers day today the director has made a unique wish to all filmmakers who inspired him to become a director. "I have neither studied nor had formal film making training !!The films I watched while growing up taught me everything to do with film making!! I want to take this opportunity to wish all the film makers (both aspiring and accomplished) out there a very “#happyteachersday”.
