We had long been accustomed to the tradition of professionals on one side and Romeos and Juliets on the other - until one man came to unleash the truth, that everyone irrespective of their livelihood is innately Cupid-attack-prone, love-struck romantics.

At the turn of millennium, a realistic story hit the screens, confirming that it was not a fantasy to fall in love. 'Minnale' is a niche movie that portrayed how romance is straightforward, yet utterly challenging. Ever since, there has been one movie after another, with adaptations across languages, and all of them capturing the essence of love.

One thing about love is that it arrives uninvited and attacks without a warning, but goes on to etch the heart with dreams, hopes, and aspirations, sketching a whole life. To love, it doesn't matter who you are - you could be a student, a traveller, a dream chaser, a guardian, or even psychologically depressed. But you wouldn't have to go in chase of love; instead, it finds you. A young lad had a spark in his fresh heart, a cop's toughened shoulders yearned, a stressed husband found peace in his distraction, there was a chance for a second lease of life for some, and complete life histories were chalked for some; and there was only one emotion behind this all.

Fresh and unique in his approach, Gautam Vasudev Menon is a man per excellence in class, and a pro in picturing fiction to reality, as is.
