Actress Shruti Haasan had last acted in Tamil in Suriya’s Singam 3 directed by Hari which was released in 2017, and had then not signed any new movies, focusing on her musical career. She had performed in several musical shows in London and released several independent songs.
She had also debuted in television, hosting the talk show Hello Sago following which she is now back to films and is acting in the movie Laabam, directed by SP Jhananathan and starring Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi in lead role.
