As we all know, 'Thaarai Thappattai', the landmark 1000th film of Isaignani Ilaiyaraja is going to release worldwide tomorrow. This is a marvelous achievement that any other Indian music composer has made.

Veterans from various art forms have joined hands to celebrate this remarkable achievement of the maestro and they have come up with a novel idea to mark this stunningly extraordinary achievement. Actor and Nadigar Sangam President Nasser, Filmmaker S.P.Jhananathan, senior Artist Chandru, Artist Natraj and writer Gowthama Sannah have organised a two day special Painting marathon in Spaces auditorium at Besant Nagar, Chennai on January 31 and February 1, 2016.

The novelty of this event is that prominent artists will draw the music albums of Ilaiyaraja with his re-recording scores running in the background. Subsequently, these drawings of Raja's music will be displayed for public view.
