Finally, Prithviraj and his 'Addujeevitham' movie team comprising of 58 members, who have been stuck in Jordan, are returning to Kerala. The team, that had recently wrapped the shoot, is expected to return Kerala by Friday.
A special Air India flight has been arranged for their return. First, they will be reaching New Delhi from Jordan and then land in Kochi on 22nd. However, as a precautionary measure to curb the spread of COVID-19, the entire team will be quarantined on return.
The team was filming the movie's second schedule in Jordan's Wadi Rum when the Coronavirus attacked the world and all means of transportation including international flights came to a standstill. While the Jordan government had granted permission to the team shoot there till April 10, the filming was suspended after the same government insisted the team to pack-up due to the COVID-19 threat.
Due to the food shortage and the growing threat of the team getting infected, director Blessy sought the help of authorities in Kerala to return to India. Actor Prithviraj had also taken to his social media pages to update his fans that he and the team were safe and that they were hoping to return home as soon as possible.
After the deadly virus came under control, the Jordan government granted permission to resume the shoot. The team used the best of the opportunity to capture all the required shots from the location and wrapped up earlier this week.
Directed by Blessy, ‘Aadujeevitham’ is one of the ambitious upcoming projects of Prithviraj. 'Aadujeevitham' is based on Benyamin’s award-winning novel of the same name, which is about the life of an abused migrant worker in Saudi Arabia. Prithviraj plays Najeeb Mohammed, who is stranded in the middle of deserts, in this survival thriller. Amala Paul plays the female lead in the flick.
The actor has undergone a major physical transformation for his role. The actor is said to have lost nearly 30 kgs for one of his avatars in the movie. The pictures of his slim look with long beard are already viral on social media.
'Aadujeevitham' has Bollywood cinematographer KU Mohanan and Oscar winner AR Rahman as part of its technical team. The latter, who is making a comeback to Malayalam after 25 long years, has pinned high hopes on the movie.
