This Friday (July 12) will decide the immediate future of three newcomers in Tollywood. Anand Deverakonda, Shivathmika Rajasekhar and Meghamsh Srihari are the ones we are talking about. Their second names tell us from which families they are.
Anand Deverakonda: The youngster is Vijay Deverakonda's younger darling. 'Dorasaani' is his first film. One may say that he has played a bit of an off-colour boy in the village-based intense flick. Expectations from him are high and his biggest challenge is to duck the high probability of being compared with his brother. It would be unfair to compare him with the 'Arjun Reddy sensation but such is the world!
Shivathmika: The determined daughter of the Rajasekhar-Jeevitha duo has played the role of a rich but constrained girl from a conservative family in 'Dorasaani'. She is lucky to have got to play a tough role (emoting with eyes, with her actual dialogues less than 10 in the film). But she has also exposed herself to scrutiny by playing a performance-oriented role in her very first film. If she clicks, she will have made a terrific debut. Also, she will have proved her haters, trolling heavily online, wrong. How much Shivathmika achieves with 'Dorasaani' will also determine how much morale boost her elder sister Shivani will get. Shivani too is a budding actress.
Meghamsh Srihari: The son of late Srihari debuts with 'RajDooth' this Friday. Directed by two newcomers, the film is billed to be a road flick with loads of comedy and action thrown in. Meghamsh definitely will be put to a litmus test. It was his father's dream to see him as an actor, and his mother Shanthi resolved to make him one. His elder brother wants to become a director. How much Meghamsh achieves with 'RajDooth' will also determine how much morale boost his elder brother will get.
