Superstar Rajnikanth who had started this year with the super success of his Petta directed by Karthik Subbaraj, had recently completed shooting of his 167th movie Darbar which is directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Lyca Productions.

Even before the release of Darbar, the announcement is already out on the next movie of Superstar Rajnikanth, and it is director Siva who will be teaming with the actor for the first time, in an untitled movie to be produced by Sun Pictures, who had earlier produced Petta and Enthiran with the actor.

The latest news making rounds is that this movie which has been called as Thalaivar 168 will begin shooting on December 12, the special date being Superstar Rajnikanth's birthday. This movie is expected to have music by D Imman and is most probably planned as Diwali 2020 release.
