The darkest day for the music and film industry is, unfortunately, today when we have lost the legendary playback singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam who has enthralled millions of film music fans all around the globe. He is the only singer in India to have sung in all major languages and has zero haters.
S.P.B and Ilayaraja are not only the most enchanting composer-singer combo in history but their friendship beyond their profession is also well documented. Though it was M.S.Viswanathan who introduced SPB to Tamil film music it was with Ilayaraja his most memorable songs have come into being and continue to resonate.
Destiny has seen to it that the last song sung by SPB is for Ilayaraja in the upcoming movie 'Thamizharasan' starring Vijay Antony and Remya Nambesan. Similarly SPB has also sung many an introduction song for Rajin films and his most recent was in 'Petta' in Anirudh's music.
Rajini fans need not despair as there is a special intro song in D.Imman's music for Superstar Rajinikanth in 'Annaathe' directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by Sun Pictures.
