Legends Ilaiyaraja and SPB reunite!

Isaignani Ilaiyaraja and legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam have always been the best of friends, but over the past few years, there has been a divide, due to the royalty issue and the claims made by the musical maestro, over usage of his songs for commercial purposes.

It has been more than an year since the duo was seen together on stage, and now, they are coming together for a musical event that has been organized in Chennai’s EVP film city, named as Isai celebrates Isai. The event will witness the legendary SPB getting back to singing his classic hit numbers set to tunes by Ilaiyaraja.

The rehearsals for the event are currently underway, and recently, SP Balasubrahmanyam had met Ilaiyaraja during the rehearsal, and photos of the legends having a hearty conversation and extending a warm hug have turned viral. The event, besides SPB, will also have Mano, KJ Yesudas, Usha Uthup, Bombay Jayashree among others.
