Legendary playback singer and actor S.P. Balasubramaniam had promised a few years back that he would donate his ancestral house to the Kanchi Madam and on Wednesday completed the formalities. The house is situated at Thipparajavari Street in Nellore and he has requested the religious organization to set up a Sanskrit school at the premises. SPB handed it over to Sri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal.
SPB has settled in Chennai for the past five decades and even though many had tried to purchase the Nellore house for a huge price he had not parted with it. The Guinness record holder is still continuing his singing career even after a staggering 40,000 songs in all Indian languages. His next song is for Superstar Rajinikanth in 'Thalaivar 168' directed by Siruthai Siva for which D. Imman scores the music.
