The much-loved playback singing legend S.P. Balasubrahmanyam passed away this afternoon at 1.04pm after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was admitted at the MGM Hospital in Chennai from August 5th after testing positive for mild coronavirus symptoms but his condition deteriorated first on the 13th night and after recovering a little once again on September 24th.
Kamal Haasan has paid rich tribute fo SPB with whom he has a long professional and personal relationship. He has posted a video in which he has shared some moments with his elder brother as he calls him and has voiced in Tamil.
"Very few artistes will get the recognition they deserve during their lifetimes itself. My elder brother from another mother received it abundantly. My humble thanks to all those millions of fans who bid him farewell by making his music rain on him. I have been the shadow image of his voice for many years in cinema which is my honor. He represented four generations of actor's voice while singing for their films and his fame will live on for seven generations more."
அன்னைய்யா S.P.B அவர்களின் குரலின் நிழல் பதிப்பாக பல காலம் வாழ்ந்தது எனக்கு வாய்த்த பேறு.
