Popular South Indian actress who survived sexual assault pens emotional note

In 2017 a leading South Indian actress was abducted on her way home from a shooting spot in Kerala and sexually assaulted in a moving car. The alleged offender Pulsar Suni who was arrested later reportedly taped the appalling act,
Malayalam superstar Dileep was later arrested for allegedly masterminding the assault after a confession by Pulsar Suni. He was lodged in the Aluva subjail for 85 days from July 10th 2017 to October when he was finally given bail. He has since returned to acting in films and claiming innocence and pressing that he was framed.
A new FIR has been filed against Dileep a couple of days ago after audio evidence suggested that he plotted to kill the cop who was investigating the sexual assault case.
In the meantime the actress has taken to Instagram to pen an emotional note writing "For 5 years now, my name and my identity have been suppressed under the weight of the assault inflicted on me. Though I am not the one who has committed the crime, there have been many attempts to humiliate, silence and isolate me. But at such times I have had some who stepped forward to keep my voice alive. Now when I hear so many voices speak up for me I know that I am not alone in this fight for justice".
The survivor added with resolve "To see justice prevail, to get wrongdoers punished and to ensure no one else goes through such an ordeal again, I shall continue this journey. For all those who are standing with me – a heartfelt thank you for your love".
