BCCI President and former Indian cricket skipper Sourav Ganguly has urged everyone to keep his daughter, Sana Ganguly, out of politics. This came after the 18-year-old girl indirectly hit out at the Narendra Modi government on Instagram.
"Please keep Sana out of all these issues .. this post is not true .. she is too young a girl to know about anything in politics," Sourav said moments after his daughter's post was deleted on Insta.
Here is why Sana's post has become controversial.
She had shared an excerpt from late author Khuswant Singh's 'The End of India', which says that every fascist regime needs communities it can demonize in order to thrive. "Those of us today who feel secure because we are not Muslims or Christians are living in a fool's paradise. The Sangh is already targeting the Leftist historians and Westernized youth," the post reads.
Sourav is very close to Jay Shah, the son of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He is also expected to join the BJP and lead the saffron party some day or the other in West Bengal. Obviously, Sana's post has embarrassed him.
