Dhanush and his sister in law Soundarya Rajinikanth have teamed up for 'VIP 2' the much anticipated sequel to the 2014 blockbuster 'Velai Illa Pattadhari'. The film written by Dhanush has been directed by Soundrya.

Dhanush's wife and Soundarya's elder sister Aishwarya Dhanush, a filmmaker herself was not present at the promotional events pertaining to 'VIP 2'. She did not attend the audio launch of the film held at Mumbai, a few weeks ago, while the '3' director's absence was more conspicuous in the press meet of 'VIP 2' held in Chennai on Saturday.

Speaking exclusively to IndiaGlitz correspondent on the sidelines of the event in Chennai, Soundarya revealed the reason behind her sister's absence.

"She is busy as she is working on a couple of scripts herself. Her good wishes are always with us.She is a very supportive sister and very excited about the film."

Hope this timely clarification puts an end to the rumours.
