We had reported on Friday, that the entire shooting of Dhanush's 'Velai Illa Pattadhari 2' will be wrapped up by the first week of April 2017.

Now the film's director Soundarya Rajinikanth has officially confirmed that actress Kajol who plays an important role of a suave businesswoman in the film has completed shooting for her portions on Friday.

With this Kajol has completed her part for her comeback film in Tamil after 20 years. She had earlier acted as the female lead in the blockbuster romance flick 'Minsara Kanavu', released in the year 1997.

The sequel to the 2014 blockbuster 'Velai Illa Pattadhari' retains most of the cast members from the first part including the lead pair Dhanush and Amala Paul.

'VIP 2' has been scheduled to hit the screens in the last week of July 2017.
