As reported earlier, director Aashiq Abu and actor Soubin Shahir are teaming for a fantasy movie. Soubin Shahir and Rima Kallingal are playing the lead in the movie that is penned by Muhsin Parari. Touted to be a fantasy film, the movie will feature Soubin in the role of Gandharvan (celestial musician according to Hindu mythology), who lands on earth.

In a recent Instagram interaction with fans, director Aashiq Abu has himself revealed that the movie is titled as ‘Devanganangal Kayyozhinja Tharakam’, named after the popular lyrics of a song from the 1991 film ‘Njan Gandharvan’. While 'Njan Gandharvan' was a love tale revolving around a girl and a Gandharvan, the upcoming flick is said to be on the lines of a socially relevant subject. While Soubin will be acing the lead role, Rima Kallingal will be essaying an important role.

Girish Gangadharan of ‘Angamaly Diaries’ and ‘Jallikattu’ fame will be handling the cinematography. The movie was supposed to go on floors this month but due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the shoot has been postponed. The movie has already set the expectations meter high.
