Soori one of the leading comedy actors in Tamil cinema started his career as an extra and worked his way up the ladder for close to two decades. He is now playing the lead in Vetrimaaran's new movie 'Viduthalai' which also has Vijay Sethupathi in a pivotal character.

Soori a staunch family man is very close to his mother and siblings and last week he conducted the wedding of his niece the daughter of his elder brother Muthuramalingam. Top stars Vijay Sethupathi and Sivakarthikeyan graced the occasion along with other actors and wished the couple in their new journey.

It has now emerged that ten sovereigns of gold worth rupees two lakhs went missing from the bride's room when the wedding was in progress in Madurai. Initially, the Soori family did not lodge a police complaint since only close family members were present due to the COVID 19 restrictions.

However after a discussion, they have now lodged a complaint at the Keeraithurai police station and the investigations have begun.
