Soori has transitioned from a comedian to a phenomenal hero in a short time with 'Viduthalai Part 1' and 'Garudan'. The actor's next, 'Kottukkaali', is gearing up to hit the screens worldwide on August 23. This movie has already won global acclaim with its screening in international film festivals.

On Sunday, Soori wrote a heartfelt post about this upcoming film on social media. It says: "#Kottukkaali will be a completely different film from my previous films Viduthalai, Garudan. It is a Mainstream Content Oriented movie and a film very close to reality. My character #Pandi in this film is a person who is in every family."

"Pandi is a character who strongly believes in the relationships and beliefs taught by this society. In the journey in this film, I was very careful to properly reflect the mental struggle of Pandi, who is created by this society, and himself as an individual. I hope I have done it right. Kotukkaali is definitely a must-watch movie," added Soori.

"Kottukkaali" features Soori and Anna Ben in the lead roles. It revolves around Meena, who loves a man from a lower caste but her family thinks she is possessed and the spell is cast out of her. Directed by PS Vinothraj, the film has cinematography by B. Sakthivel and editing by Ganesh Siva. Actor Sivakarthikeyan produced this movie under SK Productions.
