Soori, one of the most popular comedians in Tamil cinema celebrated his birthday on the 27th of August. His birthday cake was cut from inside a toy house belonging to his daughter Vennilaa and son Sarvan. A delighted Soori has stated "For the first time am celebrating my birthday in the palace bought by my children Vennilaa and Sarvan. Thank you my loves for buying me this wonderful house."

Soori was an integral part of this years blockbuster hit 'Kadaikutty Singam' in which he acted as hero Karthi's uncle. His next release on September 13th is 'Seemaraja' with his favorite hero Sivakarthikeyan.
