'Kottukkaali' trailer: Soori and Anna Ben take centre stage in this intense drama!

Director PS Vinothraj, who garnered international acclaim with his debut feature Koozhangal, has teamed up with Sivakarthikeyan's SK Productions for his latest venture, Kottukkaali, featuring Soori and Anna Ben in the lead roles. Today, the team unveiled the film's trailer at a launch event in Chennai, generating significant buzz.
The 2-minute trailer begins with a striking image of Meena (Anna Ben) gazing at a rooster tethered to a stone, setting a symbolic tone for the film. The trailer cleverly weaves the sounds of roosters throughout, adding layers of metaphor to the narrative. The story follows Meena, who loves a man from a lower caste but her family thinks she is possessed and attempts to rid her of the supposed curse.
Soori delivers a powerful performance as Paandi, a character with a conservative mindset and grey shades. The trailer intensifies as we witness Soori's mounting rage, culminating in an explosive display of anger. The visuals and sound design contribute highly to its powerful impact. Kottukkaali has already received high praise at several international film festivals and is set to hit theatres on August 23rd.
