Using a new gesture control technology, any one of those items-even your pets-could control your television. Researchers at University Of Lancaster are toying with the idea of developing next generation technology that will allow any object in the living room to become a remote, yes even your cat or dog. The gesture will be simple enough to raise volume or browse through channels and other functionalities. In order to increase the channel you move up, to decrease the channel you move down. All you have to do is pair that motion with an object or body part to get the job done. The actions will be synched with the smart TV and it will be just a piece of cake as explained by researchers. Good news for all couch potatoes indeed!
