Vijay Sethupathi is not acting in ‘Soodhu Kavvum 2’ but his character will appear – Check how

Vijay Sethupathi who is one of the busiest actors around in the country got noticed in films such as ‘Pizza’ and ‘Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom’  However it was ‘Soodhu Kavvum’ released in 2013 that made him a star.  He played the role of a forty something, schizophrenic kidnapper who follows a strict set of rules to do non violent crimes.

Now after exactly ten years the sequel ‘Soodhu Kavvum 2’ has gone on floors with Mirchi Shiva in the lead.  Karunakaran, Ramesh Thilak and Radha Ravi will apparently reprise their roles from the original.  There is curiosity whether Vijay Sethupathi will appear in a guest role and we have a hot scoop on that.

According to reliable sources Vijay Sethupathi’s character Das will be there in the screenplay of ‘Soodhu Kavvum’ but with a different actor playing him.  It is said that veteran Sathyaraj has been roped in to portray the aged version of Das and will play a pivotal part in the schemes of the new gang head played by Shiva.  There will of course be shots of VJS from the first part that will appear in flashbacks.

‘Soodhu Kavvum 2’ is directed by S.J. Arjun with Karthik K Thillai handling the cinematography, Edwin Louis scoring the music, and edited by Ignatious Ashwin. C.V. Kumar is producing the project on a grand scale under his banner Thirukumaran Entertainment which bankrolled the original as well.
