Earlier this month, Sonu Sood made a noble move by importing oxygen plants from France and the US. The actor-philanthropist is going to set them at hospitals in need in India. The news is that he has announced the setting up of the first two oxygen plants in Kurnool and Nellore, both of which are in Andhra Pradesh.
Sonu Sood's team and his Foundation are in touch with concerned municipal authorities and the District Collectors of the districts. Talking about the same, Sonu Sood said, "I am very happy to announce that the first set of my Oxygen Plants will be set up at Kurnool Government Hospital and one at District Hospital, Atmakur, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh in the month of June. This would be followed by setting more plants in the other needy states! Time to support rural India."

The plants will cater to the needs of thousands of covid patients from the two districts. A top official said that the Kurnool plant is going to help at least 150 to 200 patients on a daily basis in the Kurnool district.
Sonu Sood has resolved to set up more plants in other places in June and July.
Meanwhile, the 'Arundhati' actor is also taking care of individual SOS appeals. Recently, he helped out a journalist's family with a concentrator. When the Telugu Film Journalists Association thanked him and his Foundation for contributing Oxygen Concentrator, which was arranged in less than 10 hrs from the request time, the actor said, "Humbled. Time is precious. Anything for my TFJA family.
