Initially, they proposed the Chief Minister's post. When I declined, they tried offering the Deputy Chief Minister’s position and a seat in the Rajya Sabha, urging me to join a political party. However, I want to stay away from politics."

Explaining his stance, Sood added, "People usually enter politics for one of two reasons: to earn money or gain power. I am not interested in either. While some argue that politics offers a house, position, and security in Delhi, I am not willing to accept that path. There’s still an actor and director within me, and I’ve decided to focus on excelling in those roles."

Despite his decision to stay away from politics, Sood clarified, "I am not against politics. I respect politicians who genuinely work for the welfare of the people."
