Of late, Sonu Sood has been facing incessant online trolling. Several Twitter and Facebook users have accused him of fooling the world into believing that he has been doing charity works ever since lockdown was imposed in March. Migrant workers, jobless people and farmers have benefitted from his network. It's not clear what the basis of the negative campaign is, but the 'Arundhati' and 'Dookudu' actor has been targeted by hundreds online.
Reacting to the "hate campaign", the versatile character artist has said that he has got a database of 7,03,246 people whom he has helped so far. "I have their addresses, phone numbers and Aadhar card numbers. I don't want to sound defensive, but I have got the data," Sonu said in an interview, adding that trolls should try to do something positive instead of trolling incessantly.
A few weeks ago, when he helped an Andhra farmer, Nara Chandrababu Naidu applauded the multi-lingual actor.
