Sonu Sood opens up on tax raids, Kejriwal supports him

It's known that actor Sonu Sood's premises in Mumbai were last week surveyed by the IT department, which later said that it suspects tax evasion by his Foundation. On Monday, the actor-philanthropist broke his silence. He said that time will tell his side of the story.

He also described the IT sleuths as guests. The 'Arundhati' star then wrote, Every rupee in my foundation is awaiting its turn to save a precious life and reach the needy. In addition, on many occasions, I have encouraged brands to donate my endorsement fees for humanitarian causes too, which keeps us going.

After the IT department raided his offices for three days, at least two political parties criticized the timing of the raids. Shiv Sena and Aam Admi Party have come to his defence.

On Monday, quote tweeting Sonu Sood's tweet, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wrote, More power to you Sonu ji. You are a hero to millions of Indians.
