The national award winning director Nikil Manjoo has become busy with stalwart Dr H S Venkateshamurthy maiden directorial venture Hasiru Ribbon` and deferred his own project Shalini IAS` for a few months.

As a result the actress in the title role Sonu Gowda is keeping herself busy in web series, two Kannada projects Gultu` and Chambal` and a Tamil project. As of now Sonu film Marikondavaru` is slated for August 18 release in the direction of K Shivarudraiah.

The beauty is that Sonu got make up for the film Marikondavaru` from her national award winning father Ramakrishna. Recently Ramakrishna got national award for his makeup for Allamma` Kannada cinema.

Working in cinema from one and half decades Sonu never had her father doing makeup for her.
