It is fair to say that Indian Idol controversy has stayed relevant more than it actually should have. After several musicians and singers expressed their views on the matter, Sonu Nigam too has spoken about it. A former judge of Indian Idol, he supported Amit Kumar and urged people to let stuff go and end the controversy right here. The issue started when Amit Kumar criticised the quality of the episode which was supposed to be a tribute to his father, Kishore Kumar.
Sonu said, "Amit Kumar ji is a very big man. First of all, he is our maestro Kishore Kumar ji’s son. He is a man who has seen this industry much more than us. He has worked with the who’s who of our industry and he has been working for so long. He is a simple and honest man, and undue advantage is being taken of his dignified silence."
Sonu Nigam shared this message through a video on Instagram. His caption for the post read, “A message to everyone regarding Indian Idol and Amit Kumar ji. Also, No one knows Kishore Kumar ji more than Amit Kumar ji.”
