Song Review: Right Now ('Pantham')

The female-driven song comes with a playful tinge. Gopi Sundar's tune is minimal and the 'raga' is not-so-distinct. The pace of the song sits well with its mood.

Bhaskara Bhatla writes relatable lyrics in modern language. Not that there are novel lines. English-language words like 'Butterfly' and 'Google' don't go into pulling off any trick. Sithara Krishnakumar's voice is thick at times, even reminding one of Usha Uthup.

'Pantham', starring Gopichand and Mehreen Pirzada, is directed by K Chakravarthy. Produced by KK Radhamohan under Sri Sathya Arts, it has socio-political appeals. The film will hit the screens on July 5.
