'Pichonne Aipoya', the number from 'Winner', was today released by Samantha. The lyrical video comes with visuals of some of the dance moves (choreography is by Raju Sundaram) and from what is seen, you know the zany dance master has ensured the steps reflect the maddened mood of the lover boy (and somewhere in the background, a dancer comes across as a Sapthagiri look-alike!). The exhilaration is visibly subdued.

Rendered to a Thaman-esque (vocally speaking) effect by the Christopher Stanley-Deepak-Sai Charan trio, the peppy number is conscious of the lyrics. The sounds of the snaps, the leisurely pace when the girl hums - the song has them all.

Srimani's lyrics are at their usual mongrelized-self. A whole range of English words aside, the rhyming of 'Dil diya' (Hindi) and 'daya' (Telugu) is very good.

All in all, the song comes across as a lightening that strikes, much as a lyric talks about in the context of the lover boy's experience!
