Song Review: Hey Babu ('Devadas')

It's vintage Mani Sharma as the music director rehashes his Melody Brahmaness for this one. The song's playful backdrop gives him the leverage to go for the kill.
Ramajogayya Sastry's lyrics are imaginative, with the lovers becoming forgetful in love. They would be oblivious to any calamity that might happen in a parallel world. If Karthik's voice is modern, there is a touch of 1990s-era vocals in Ramya Behara's voice. This must be because the music director deliberately planned it that way.
'Devadas', Nagarjuna, Nani, Rashmika Mandanna, and Aakanksha Singh, will hit the screens on Sept 27. Directed by Sriram Adittya, its audio is out on Aditya Music, one song at a time. The full album will be unveiled on the 20th.
