Song Review: Guchukunnade (Shambo Shankara)

The first single from 'Shambo Shankara' has this quality of a melody and a folk. It's not tailor-made for Shakalaka Shankar; rather the hero is made to fit into the decorous song. Praveen Kumar Koppolu's vocals have an uncanny resemblance to Shankar Mahadevan's. Given the film's title, we find it an interesting coincidence.

Santhosh Sakhe's lyrics are winsome, the song's language being quite supple. Sai Kartheek's deployment of the keyboard, the Nadaswaram, the live percussion and the rhythms is commendable. The number is out on Aditya Music.

Choreographed by Bhanu, 'Guchukunnade' has been shot on Shankar and Karunya. Directed by Sreedhar N, the film has the comedian-turned-hero aping Pawan Kalyan in many (serious) scenes.
