Song Review: Ardhamaindha

The song 'Ardhamaindha' was released by the makers as a V-Day special. Here is our review:
Anup Rubens' style is writ large over this duet from 'Kittu Unnadu Jagratha'. Somewhere in the first leg itself, you see Mickey J Meyer-kinda buoyant music finding its way into the number. Its marriage with Anup's style is a happy alliance, enlivening the mood.
Rendered by Anurag Kulakarni, the song comes with those male vocals that are not atypical to the music director's preference. Just a few Ha's here and Ho's there are enough to induce a sense of deja vu. Perhaps, smuggling in a classical-sounding tune is an attempt to keep deja vu at bay.
Ramajogaiah Sastry's lyrics talk about the boy's self-forgetful state ever since he had her 'darshan'. Avoiding Tinglish, Sastry does a fine job. Fitting that the song has been given away as a V-Day gift
