Sonam Kapoor is expected to go in a serious mode for her next project. Post 'Dolly Ki Doli', the fashionista-actress said to have bagged a film, that will be based on infamous 1986 plane hijack.
According to sources, the film will be helmed by noted filmmaker Ram Madhvani and Sonam will essay the role of Neerja Bhanot, the flight attendant who showed extreme bravery in saving others' lives from terrorists, however lost hers in the process. Incidentally, Neerja is known to be the youngest recipient of Ashok Chakra, India's highest civilian award for bravery.
It is said that the filmmaker had been scripting this movie for nearly one and half years and he felt Sonam apt for the role, the moment he visualised about Neeraj Bhanot's character.
For the records, Ram Madhavni is well-acclaimed for being the man behind the popular "Happydent White" commercial and for directing "Bheja Kum" song in 'Taare Zameen Par'.
