Sonam Kapoor touches up for 'Khoobsurat' on September 19 2014

Disney India’s Khoobsurat, a wholesome family entertainer produced in association with Anil Kapoor Film Company, will release on 19th September 2014.The film is directed by writer and ace ad-filmmaker Shashanka Ghosh (‘Quick Gun Murugan’) and stars Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan, along with a great ensemble cast which includes Kirron Kher, Ratna Pathak Shah and Amir Raza Hussain.

The official remake of 1980 classic romantic-comedy is any b-town lovers favourite and rightly so Sonam Kapoor is on cloud nine on playing the eternal diva Rekha’s most loved on screen character after Umrao Jaan..

The movie will be mostly shot in shot in Rajasthan.

The original ‘Khoobsurat’ starred Rekha, Rakesh Roshan, Ashok Kumar, and Dina Pathak. The film was originally directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee,written by Shanu Banerjee and dialogues by Gulzar.

Ratna Pathak Shah and Prosenjit are going to reprise the roles of Dina Pathak and Ashok Kumar respectively.
