Sonam Kapoor, who is also known as the Masakali girl thanks to the super hit song by A.R. Rahman in Rakesh Omprakash Mehra's directorial venture DELHI 6 celebrates her 29th birthday yesterday. Raaga.Com wishes her birthday greetings and reveals the hidden secret about the dream man that Sonam Kapoor would love to marry.
At 29 everybody is wondering when Sonam Kapoor, the talented actress and beautiful daughter of superstar Anil Kapoor will tie the nuptial knot. In an interview Sonam opened her heart, she said, Though I may be looked upon as a fashionable Mumbai girl but few are aware that I have been brought up in a conservative family. I did my schooling from girls school and was prohibited to indulge in night club parties.
She adds, The traditional upbringing has made me down to earth hence I would love to marry someone who is simple and has his roots grounded, probably someone like the South sensational actor Dhanush, who despite being such a big star has no starry tantrums and most importantly he is humble and humane.
She continues, While working with Dhanush in RAANJHANAA, I learnt many things from him, but the one thing that made me awe him was his disciple and devotion for his job. She informed, Dhanush was given an option to have his dialogues dubbed, but he coolly declined and took lessons in Hindi and within few days he improved his Hindi diction so well that all were overwhelmed.
When asked has she found someone matching the qualities of Dhanush, Sonam smiles, Well, I wonder to find someone like Dhanush in Mumbai is impossible. I think I will have to hunt my man of dream in Tamil Nadu!
"It was because of Rahman that people started calling me Masakali. That is the impact that the song had. He adds life to everything. He is a genius and a very modest person. I feel privileged and blessed that he has given music to two of my films," Sonam told reporters at the promotional event of
