It is a big leap from Tulu films to Kannada for beautiful looking Sonal Monteiro. Actress of Tulu films ‘Ekka Sakka’, Jai Tulunadu, Pilibail Yamunakka has got series of offers in Kannada such as ‘Abhisarike, Maduve Dibbanna, Pritsoru, MLA and Yogaraj Bhat Panchatantra.

Sonal has signed five Kannada films and they are different stages but not even one got released so far. It is on her mother wish she is making foray in to Kannada cinema industry. Her mother Lita Monteiro got offers before marriage in Tamil films but she could not take up. After Sonal birth it was a decision of her mother to bring her to cinema. She was in the contest of ‘Miss Bengaluru.

In fact Sonal was supposed to act in Yogaraj Bhat ‘Mugulunage’. She was busy on an assignment in Hindi. This time for ‘Panchatantra’ of Yogaraj Bhat she got selected again. She plays Sahitya role. A traditional girl falls in love.

Sonal hailing from Mangaluru says she cannot forget Tulu language films. Even after reaching different levels in professional career Tulu language I will be ready to act she adds.

Sonal first assignment in Hindi was Saajan Chale Sasuraal 2 of Siddique. She is bound to take good roles in the coming years for her talent and pretty good looks.
