Sonal Monteiro confirms doing a Sarojini Naidu biopic

Sonal Monteiro is a Kannada and Tulu actress who will soon be seen in ‘Banaras’. The pan-India movie is a time-travel romantic fantasy actioner. 

The news is that Sonal, who has acted in Sandalwood movies like ‘Panchatantra’, is making her Bollywood foray soon. She is doing a biopic. Speaking at a promotional event of ‘Banaras’ on Tuesday, Sonal said, “I am doing a biopic on Sarojini Naidu. That way, I am coming back to Bollywood.” Earlier, a Hindi film project she was supposed to do didn’t take off for some reason. Sonal is finally happy to be getting to do a Bollywood project.

Coming to ‘Banaras’, the film will be released in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam on November 4. The multi-lingual has been made on a robust and rich scale. The male lead is an astronaut who has time-travelled from future to the present. He woos a woman (Sonal) in Varanasi by saying that he is her future husband. The film is touted to be a rich one and is headlined by Zaid Khan.
