'Ittefaq' is rewritten: Sonakshi

While she will be soon seen in 'Noor', Sonakshi Sinha is simultaneously working on yet another film - which is no news anymore - the remake of the classic 'Ittefaq'.

The new version of the 1969 suspense thriller is being helmed by Abhay Chopra, grandson of the late B.R. Chopra who had produced the original film. Talking about it, Sonakshi said that she takes it as a fresh project, since she has not seen the original.

"I have not seen the old 'Ittefaq'. So for me, I am doing a new film. And I am sure a lot of people from our generation have not seen the original 'Ittefaq' either. The way film is rewritten and adapted to fit in today's scenario and time, makes it a fresh film," stated Sonakshi in an interview. She will be doing the role played by Nanda.

The new 'Ittefaq' will have Sidharth Malhotra in lead - which earlier had Rajesh Khanna.
