Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are reportedly getting married on June 23. Though the pair has not spoken, family and friends including Poonam Dhillon, Yo Yo Honey Singh, and Daisy Shah have confirmed that wedding bells are in fact ringing. Though Sonakshi has previously expressed her father's opinions on marriage, fans are keen to see her as a bride.

Sonakshi said that her father Shatrughan Sinha would have preferred that she remain single in a 2021 interview with Bollywood Bubble. Sometimes, Sonakshi said, her mother makes marriage suggestions, but she swiftly retracts after seeing her daughter.

Shatrughan Sinha would never approve of me getting married if it were up to him. Sometimes Mom drops that little bomb, saying it's time to be married, and I just give her one glance, and she backs off,” Sonakshi said.

Shatrughan Sinha recently told The Times of India that he fully supports Sonakshi's choices amid the whirling rumors about her marriage. Without confirming or denouncing the wedding, he remarked, "I will always bless her." She has the right to choose, he underlined, and he will back her choice.

Sonakshi and Zaheer's big day was glimpsed earlier this week in an audio wedding invitation that was released. Sonakshi started the lighthearted segment by wishing their "tech-savvy" friends and family. They talked on how their seven years of love, laughter, and adventures had brought them to this momentous occasion. "From reported boyfriend and girlfriend," Sonakshi said, "to husband and wife," Zaheer added. With a shout of "Finally!" They invited everyone to join them in their celebration on June 23.
